School of Engineering
The School of Engineering has a vision of making The Grundtvig Polytechnic become an internationally recognised technical institution that serves society through excellence in education and research. School of Engineering at the Grundtvig Polytechnic is committed to providing quality education and training in an academically stimulating environment, to the technological, economical and social development in a rapid changing technological and multicultural world.
With modern equipment in eight laboratories/Workshops and one Drawing Studio, the School is well positioned to cater for students need. The School has two Departments with the following programmes:
DEPARTMENT OF
Computer Engineering
The Department of Computer Engineering applies a multi-pronged approach ranging from theoretical, practical and research based learning to position her students as creative technology leaders. This is achieved with the presence of five laboratories, studios and workshops in the department. The department offers training leading to award of National Diploma (ND) in Computer Engineering.
- Programme: ND in Computer Engineering
- Duration: 2 years (full time), 3 years (part time)
- Entry requirements: Five O’Level Credit passes in: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and one from Biology, Agricultural Science, Health Science, Economics or Commerce, Additional Mathematics, Statistics.
DEPARTMENT OF
Electrical and Electronic Engineering
With seven well-equipped laboratories, workshops and studio, this department places emphasis on the understanding of fundamental principles, logical method and computation approach. The department offers training leading to the award of National Diploma (ND) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Programme: ND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- Duration: 2 years (full time), 3 years (part time)
- Entry requirements: Five O’Level Credit passes in: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and one from Biology, Agricultural Science, Health Science, Economics or Commerce, Additional Mathematics, Statistics.
