ADMISSION INTO

National Diploma (ND) Programme

If you are interested in the Grundtvig Polytechnic’s National Diploma (ND) programme, you will need to follow the process listed below. Please click on each to view the full information on requirements. Or you can also complete our ND Admission Enquiry Form and we will contact you promptly to guide you.

  • 1. Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credits in their O’Level SSCE/NECO/WAEC/NABTEB in relevant subjects, including Mathematics and English Language in not more than two sittings.

  • 2. Candidates must have written the JAMB UTME and scored the JAMB-stipulated minimum of 100 marks.

  • 3. Candidates must have chosen Grundtvig Polytechnic as their FIRST choice, OR…

  • 4. Candidates who did not choose Grundtvig Polytechnic but wish to change to Grundtvig Polytechnic should do a Change of Institution on the JAMB website (https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/) or contact the Polytechnic for assistance.

  • 1. Candidates visit the JAMB website (www.jamb.org.ng/efacility ) to accept the offer of a provisional Admission letter and then obtain printed copies (Candidate’s copy and Institution’s copy).

  • 2. Candidates pay an Acceptance and Processing Fee of N25,000 to Grundtvig Polytechnic, First Bank Account Number: 2034370922.

  • 1.  Candidates visit Grundtvig Polytechnic with evidence of payment of the Acceptance fee and processing fee for physical screening of their credentials. (Find below the requirements for the screening exercise).

  • 2.  Successfully screened candidates will be issued a Confirmation of Provisional Admission letter, enabling them to pay their school fees to the school account mentioned above.

  • 1. After payment of school fees, candidates visit Grundtvig Polytechnic’s portal (www.gpolyportal.com) to register their details and obtain their registration number which is contained in a printout that is generated after successful online registration. (Please, note that your bank payment teller/receipt must be uploaded along with other credentials specified on the portal)

  • 2. Candidates submit a copy of the printout obtained in 4.1 above, evidence of payment of prescribed fees and photocopies of their credentials for documentation at Exams and Records unit.

  • 3. Office of the Exams and Records issues Course registration forms to successful candidates

  • 1. Original and three (3) photocopies of print-out of JAMB (UTME) Results Slip.

  • 2.  Original and three (3) photocopies of the JAMB Provisional Admission Letter (Institution’s copy).

  • 3. Original and three (3) photocopies of the Receipt of Payment of the Acceptance Fee and Processing Fee.

  • 4.  Original and three (3) photocopies of O’Level SSCE/NECO/WAEC/NABTEB etc. Certificate(s) / online printout of the result.

  • 5. Original and three (3) photocopies of Birth Certificate/Affidavit of Declaration of Age.

  • 6. Original and three (3) photocopies of Evidence of Change of Name (if applicable).

  • 7.  Original and three (3) photocopies of Identification / Certificate of Local Government of Origin.

  • 8. Original and three (3) photocopies of Medical Report of Fitness (visit the Polytechnic Clinic for collection of Medical Examination Form).

  • 9.  Original and three (3) photocopies of a letter of reference from a person of reputable standing in the society (e.g. Clergyman, Senior Public Servant, Notary public) vouching for your good behavior.

  • 10. Four (4) Recent Passport-Sized Photographs.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS INTO

School of Engineering

Five O’Level Credit passes in:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry, and one from:
  • Biology
  • Agricultural Science
  • Health Science
  • Economics or Commerce
  • Additional Mathematics
  • Statistics.

School of Applied Sciences

Five O’Level Credit passes in:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry, and one from:
  • Biology
  • Agricultural Science
  • Health Science
  • Economics or Commerce
  • Additional Mathematics
  • Statistics.

School of Management Sciences

Five O’Level Credit passes in:

  • Mathematics
  • English Language, and any three from:
  • Economics/Commerce
  • Business Method
  • Principles of Account
  • Government
  • Additional Mathematics
  • Statistics
  • Biology
  • Agricultural Science
  • Literature in English

HOW TO

APPLY

1. Eligibility:

2. Acceptance:
a. Candidates pay an Acceptance and Processing Fee of N25,000 to: Grundtvig Polytechnic, First Bank Account Number: 2034370922.
b. Candidates visit Grundtvig Polytechnic with credentials and evidence of payments to obtain, fill and submit the Confirmation of Admission Form OR visit the Polytechnic Portal (www.gpolyportal.com) to fill and submit the form online.

3. Confirmation:
Successful candidates will be issued a Confirmation of Admission letter to enable them pay their fees and register as students of the Polytechnic.
