On 25th February 2026, the Federal Ministry of Education officially flagged off the Innovation Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) Project at Grundtvig Polytechnic, Oba, Anambra State. The flag-off ceremony was held at the institution’s Lecture Hall, with the opening remarks delivered on behalf of the National Coordinator of the IDEAS/TVET Unit, Mrs. Blessing Ogu, by Mr. Eldad Domshak, Project Coordinator of the World Bank-funded IDEAS Project.
The IDEAS/TVET platform introduced to trainees at Grundtvig Polytechnic is a strategic initiative designed to equip youths with market-relevant, competency-based skills. Trainees were encouraged to take full advantage of this Federal Government initiative, which provides opportunities for internship, mentorship, employment placement, and business starter packs.
This initiative marks another important step in strengthening technical and vocational education, empowering young people with practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship.
